Rendezvous [Tsugaru and Psyche (and a little Delic)]

“Let’s wait outside for him. If he doesn’t see me immediately when he gets here, I think he’ll have an aneurism... ”

Tsugaru gave the hand a small squeeze and waiting by the doors with Psyche. This was going to be bad. For every time that he and Delic had started to get along again, they had always gone somewhere isolated, talking only about what they were doing. Maybe an occasional golf match, a bit of fishing... But they had agreed to not interfere with one another and he was afraid he had crossed that line.

Delic was sprinting up in a rush. Panting, hair disheveled; he rushed up and took a moment to catch his breath. "Psyche... come on..." They had to go now.

"Hello Delic," the other blond greeted, letting go of Psyche's hand.

“Why? Why do I have to go? ”

“I don’t see what the big issue is.”

“Give me my phone. Tsugaru needs to put his number into it. ”

Delic slipped the phone into his back pocket, "Psyche, be reasonable. I mean, yeah, Tsugaru's nice and all, but..." He looked over at Tsugaru. "Can we have a moment here? Roommate business."

Tsugaru shook his head, adjusting his grip on his groceries. "It's been nice seeing you again, Psyche." He started to walk away, not wanting to hear how the rest of this conversation would go.

"Again?!" Delic looked over at Psyche. "Oh geez, how many times have you both caught up with one another?"

“What? No wait! ”

“Please stay. It won’t be long...”

“I met him at the club a few weeks ago. He helped me when we were swamped at the bar. Without him, we would have been overworked and a riot could have formed for all we know. ”

Tsugaru found himself stopping, looking away as his heart raced. Psyche wanted to talk to him so much and he wasn't going to ruin his relationship with Delic. "Since I called my number should be on your phone," he said quietly. "I don't want to hear what Delic is going to say, Psyche-san."

He just... he knew enough about what the family said already. He wasn't ready to hear it in person again. He had heard it enough as a kid.

Delic tsked, "Tsugaru isn't really the most social family member, Psy. He likes being alone. That's why he lives outside of town where no one can bother him." He looked over to Tsugaru though, "thanks for the help around work though, Tsu. I didn't hear anything about that." He was curious to know what had brought the man into the place though.

Delic shook his head, "Psyche! It's not that I don't trust you, but you already forgot your phone at home!" He moved forward to pull Psyche a bit further away. How on Earth was Psyche so intent on spending time with the man? This was madness!

Tsugaru just stayed quiet. This was not his place to meddle in their affairs. He looked down at his groceries and sighed. He should be heading back now at any rate. His fish were probably hungry and he had yet to feed them. Or himself, now that he thought about it. It was meal time for every member of his household.

“I just want to go on a date with him…”

Tsugaru froze as he finally came to the decision to leave, hearing Psyche's confession. He looked back in utter astonishment. He actually wanted something like that? He wanted to spend time with him? Even though he lived with Delic of all people and the host was warning him not to? He moved forward without a thought and wrapped his arms around Psyche, driven by the shock and pleasure he got from the brunet's words. "I would like to go on a date with you as well, Psyche."

Delic, of whom was currently sure he had somehow managed to doze off in the middle of the parking lot, was staring at Psyche. "Be reasonable here!" He looked to his cousin as the man all but hugged the brunet. "Come on Tsu. We agreed to no interfering. You said you weren't interested in anything like that!"

“I am being reasonable! I really like Tsugaru…”

“Don’t you think this is a good thing? After what happened between us? Don’t you think I should be moving on and finding someone else?”

The host stared at him, all the wind beneath his sails gone with that. It was true, he had split them apart in an effort to be free for... Well, it was the past after all. There was no sense in dwelling on it. He shook his head, pulling the phone out and holding it out for Psyche. "Don't get hurt, kid. I'm not able to fix all the problems that go wrong."

The look he gave to the escort was nothing less then threatening. "...Don't you dare hurt Psyche."

Tsugaru looked at him a moment, knowing what he meant. Everyone thought he had killed his parents. Finding him alone in that house so long ago and being so quiet. They had never found out who had done that to them. All they knew was that his parents were gone. No one in the family had really looked out for him growing up, and when he was near others, they always did this.

"I swear to you, I won't hurt him."

Still, he knew how he was with people. He was as strong as Shizuo and Delic. He would be sure to keep a bit of distance between himself and Psyche for that reason primarily.

“Thank you…I promise we’ll be safe.”

“I’ll be home before ten.”

“So…do you want to go on a date?”

Tsugaru nodded, turning to lead the brunet away, "I would love to as long as you don't mind us running by my home to feed my Koi fish. They're the main reason I even came to the store today." He didn't pay any more mind to his cousin, not wanting to be reminded of anything further. He liked the fact that Psyche didn't mind anything about him right now. The brunet seemed content to just spend time with him.

Delic cleared his throat, moving forward. "Alright, if you guys are going to go running off, at least give me our groceries, Psyche. I'm not going to have you coming home at ten only to remember that you guys left the food at Tsu's place. I don't feel like taking a train ride to the outskirts just to get some cereal."

“I don’t mind stopping by at all. I’d love to see your fish!”

“So where do you live?”

"My home is kind of a distance," he admitted, leading Psyche towards the train station. "I like to be away from all the business and sounds of the city." Which is why it usually took him a half hour to get to work on any given day. They headed over to the ticket area and purchased two for the outskirts.

"I don't think my fish would very much enjoy the noise and cats running around the city anyway."

Tsugaru shook his head, "It's fine, Psyche. You don't have to pay me back." He sat down in one of the seats and shook his head, "I should be living in the city limits. It's a bit of a pain to go back and forth every day."

It wasn't so much that though. He liked it out in the outskirts. No one was there to bother him there. There was none of the noise and trouble and people that knew him or his cousins. It was just him and the two fishes. Still, thinking about starting a relationship with Psyche, he knew he wanted to at least live a bit closer.

Wasn't that what people who dated did? They lived not too far away and went out to do things together. He felt like he should have asked Delic.

Tsugaru smiled a bit, "It's a nice view, especially when it's first thing in the morning." He had a multipass for the train system nowadays too. It made things a bit cheaper. Maybe he would have to purchase one for Psyche as well.

Of course that was thinking far ahead and assuming that Psyche would want to visit him many more times. They had only spoken a bit before and this was only their second meeting. It would be rude to assume and make decisions on the brunet's part. Still, he leaned back as the train headed out to the countryside.

"I'm sorry ahead of time, I have a very basic home." He really meant it when he said it too. It was the very stereotypical Japanese home. He liked the basics and his job wasn't well enough paid to be living large, like other people.

Tsugaru should smile, he wanted to, but instead his face was heating up at how close they were. Seeing how happy Psyche was, given how early it still was, the sun shining through the open window of the train as it headed out over the scenery; it was nice.

It was beyond nice, it was just...

Tsugaru nodded, setting the groceries on the empty seats on the other side of the little corner and patting his lap for the brunet to sit on. "If you look from where I'm sitting, you can see up ahead of the train. We're heading towards a much less populated area, so you'll see a few wild critters wandering about nearby."

“Oh! I saw something!”

“I think it was a fox!”

The bouncing had him a flustered heap under Psyche, but the excitement was contagious. He nodded, "It must have been. They tend to be very quick at running away." He leaned against the brunet a bit and tried to relax some.

This was not a very appropriate way of holding Psyche, but he had no ill intentions. He was merely letting Psyche see out the window better. He wasn't going to do anything against Psyche's consent.

With that in mind, he let his mind go at ease.
